GRRC  Boys Hostel

INTRODUCTION

The Boys Hostel with Modern Amenities is  for Class VI to Class XII (All Streams). The Hostel was established as Regimental run Army School Hostel in the year 2000, with just six inmates on its roll. On consequent of its recognition as Army Public School in 2007, the School was acknowledged as a Residential School in 2008 and present strength of the Hostel is 72/100.

OBJECTIVES

The Hostel has the following Objectives to achieve.-

• Facilitate to pursue Quality Education on CBSE Pattern from Class VI to Class XII (All Streams) under direct supervision of an experienced retired Army Offi
• Select and prepare the students to qualify the Entrance Examination for RIMC, NDA, B.Tech, MBBS and Sainik School.
• All Round personality development to enable the Students to compete with their counterparts in the country and excel in the Field they choose as their profession.

• Living Accommodation:- The Hostelers are accommodated in Dormitories(Not more than 8-10 in one)  in re-appropriated MES Barracks with adequate bathing and toilet facilities.
• Food & Messing:- Hot wholesome and nutritious food is served to the hostlers in the  Mess as per the  Menu.
• 500Lit per Day Capacity Solar Water Heating Plant:- The Hostel has a Solar Water Heating Plant for Hot Water Bath to be organized under the supervision of the Assistant Warden  in Summer as well as in the Winter.
• Medical Cover:– All the Inmates are medically examined Half Yearly. Medical cover is provided by the Cantt Board Hospital/Military Hospital Lansdowne.
• Generator Set:- To ensure 24 hrs power supply.
• Water Management:- The Hostel has Two Aqua Guards and it is ensured that clean filtered drinking water is provided to the Hostlers.
• Information/Recreation Room:- Information/Recreation room are maintained with sufficient indoor Games, News Papers and Periodicals.
• Activity/TV Room:- Activity  Room is  maintained  wherein Co-Curricular Activities are  conducted as per the schedule. TV News is  compulsory and other Channels are viewed as per the TV programme of the Hostel. Documentary films and other Movies of educational values are also telecast at the discretion of the Warden.
• Computer Lab with Internet facility:- Adequately furnished Computer Lab with a Trained Computer Teacher is available.
• Tuition  Classes for Weak Students:- Tuition Classes  are regularly held by the experienced tutors on payment.
• Prepare the students for admission to Sainik School/RIMC:- Suitable students are given regular coaching to prepare for Entrance Examination of the Sainik School and the Rashtriya Military College.
• Staff in the Hostel:- A well qualified and experienced team is appointed to manage the hostel:-.

HOSTEL CAMPUS

The boarders are housed in a large airy building. Dormitories are divided into junior and senior section. Hostel facilities include recreation room, dining hall with attached cook house. The hostel caters for boys from Vth class upward.

ADMISSION

• Students who qualify in the school admission test, will be eligible for the admission in the hostel also.
• For provisional Admission in class XIth , two months fee will be charged for May and June.
